Michael Pinder is an English musician and a founding member of the rock group the Moody Blues. He played keyboards, especially the Mellotron, and sang in the band until he left in 1978 after their ninth album Octave. He is known for his technological contribution to music and his mystical compositions. He has also released solo albums and new age-oriented material on his own label One Step.
