La Roux is a synthpop project by Elly Jackson (born 12 March 1988), a singer and keyboardist from London. She started La Roux in 2008 with producer Ben Langmaid, but he left in 2014. La Roux is known for her catchy songs like “Bulletproof” and “In for the Kill”, which have a retro-futuristic sound inspired by the ’80s. She has won a Grammy Award and been nominated for a Mercury Prize. She has released three albums: La Roux (2009), Trouble in Paradise (2014), and Supervision (2020).
