Cricket Coulter, best known to Elvis fans as the girl in That’s The Way It Is. Cricket was a super fan who followed Elvis around from California, Vegas & Memphis. She knew Elvis for 11 years.

The LOA reads:

To Whom It May Concern

On August 10, 1977 in the late afternoon I was at the Graceland gates visiting with Uncle Vester when Elvis drove out in the Stutz. He had Charlie Hodge with him. He stopped to say hi to a couple fans (sic) who were there and I asked him for a special autograph to put on the cover of my next fan club newsletter. “Sure, Cricket, what do you want me to say?” I asked him to just say something to the fans so he wrote “To my fans, Elvis Presley.” I was going to use it as the front of my newsletter for September 1977. I was doing a monthly newsletter at the time. Of course we all know what happened and I did use it on the cover of the next newsletter and then I packed it away and kind of forgot about it.

A couple of months ago I got a few boxes out of storage and brought them to Pigeon Forge and was going through them trying to catalog some stuff. Among the items in one of the boxes was a turquoise and silver ring what had been Elvis’ which he took off his hand and gave to me. Another item was the autograph. I have decided after much thought to part with this autograph. I have others and I also have one signed to me personally from August 15, 1977 when I took the last pix of Elvis and his daddy together in the burgundy and silver Cadillac which was recently sold.

Whoever ends up with this autograph I want you to know that Elvis was in good spirits and he was thrilled to be signing this special autograph to his fans. One other tme back in the late 60s he had signed one just like it for my newsletter. He always was ready and willing to sign autographs and pose for pictures for his fans. The fans were his number one love. Enjoy it and know that he enjoyed writing it.

FOR CUSTOMERS IN RUSSIA:

In recent years’ Russian authorities have increasingly tightened the regulations around shipping to their country. In 2016 a temporary ban on private individuals importing non-document shipments to other private individuals was in effect, with no definite end date given. In less formal terms, this means that if you want to buy a signed record from us and you live in St Petersburg, you need to have it sent to a business where you can collect it.

If you aren't able to collect your order, businesses in Russia are free to ship to other businesses, or private individuals, although the latter may involve extra paperwork. For businesses sending to private individuals, no tax or duties will be applied to shipments up to a value of EUR €1,000, or totaling 31kg per calendar month, anything above this will have duties and taxes applied. For all other shipments there is no import duty for packages below EUR €200 in value.
