Peter Paul Cetera (born September 13, 1944) is an American singer-songwriter and bassist. He is best known for being an original member of the rock band Chicago from 1967 to 1985, before starting a successful solo career. The Chicago song “If You Leave Me Now” won the band’s first Grammy Award and was also their number one single. After leaving Chicago in 1985, his singles, “Glory of Love” and “The Next Time I Fall”, reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100. “Glory of Love” was the theme song from the movie The Karate Kid Part II (1986). The song was co-written by Cetera, David Foster and Diane Nini.
