UK Postal Strikes and Cyber-Attack

UPDATE: 18/01/2023

Royal Mail have issued the following announcement regarding international services:

Royal Mail is experiencing severe service disruption to our international export services following a cyber incident.

We are temporarily unable to despatch items to overseas destinations. To support faster recovery when our service is restored and to prevent a build-up of export items in our network, we’re asking customers not to post international items until further notice. Items that have already been despatched may be subject to delays. We would like to sincerely apologise to impacted customers for any disruption this incident is causing.

Our import operations continue to perform a full service, with some minor delays. Parcelforce Worldwide export services are still operating to all international destinations though customers should expect delays of one to two days.

Our teams are working around the clock to resolve this disruption and we will update you as soon as we have more information. We immediately launched an investigation into the incident and we are working with external experts. We have reported the incident to our regulators and the relevant security authorities.

As a result, Presley Collectibles will, and until further notice, be using courier services for all orders placed from (or to be delivered to) outside of the UK. All orders will continue to be processed by us promptly but there may be a delay of up to two days while we find the best courier for your delivery needs. This has resulted in us having to temporarily increase our prices to cover these additional charges and for this we apologise.

Royal Mail and CWU update

UPDATE: 09/01/2023

Royal Mail have issued the following announcement regarding domestic services:

We welcome the CWU’s agreement to recommence facilitated talks through Acas. Royal Mail is committed to reaching an agreement to resolve the current pay and change disputes to secure the company’s future and its employees’ long-term job security. The talks will commence on Monday 9 January and run through to Friday 20 January.

Presley Collectibles will therefore continue to use RMG Special Delivery for all standard domestic orders. However, we will monitor the situation and may need to revert back to using couriers.
