Very rare clear glass ash tray from 1956. Exceptional condition with very little wear.

The property started as a nightclub called Pair-O-Dice that opened in 1930, then The Ambassador Night Club in 1936 and was renamed the 91 Clubin 1939 for its location on US-91. It was subsequently rebuilt and renamed the “Hotel Last Frontier” in 1942. On April 4, 1955, it was renamed the New Frontier, following a modernization of the resort.

The resort had the distinction of hosting Elvis Presley’s first Vegas appearance in 1956, and the final performance of Diana Ross and The Supremeson January 14, 1970.

In the 1950s and the early 1960s, the New Frontier went through a succession of owners and operators. In 1966 and 1967 the New Frontier had secret ownership interests by Anthony Joseph Zerilli and Michael Polizzi, “two high-ranking members of the Detroit Mafia family” according to The Boardwalk Jungle by Ovid Demaris, along with Emprise Corporation (now called Delaware North Companies. FOR CUSTOMERS IN RUSSIA:

In recent years’ Russian authorities have increasingly tightened the regulations around shipping to their country. In 2016 a temporary ban on private individuals importing non-document shipments to other private individuals was in effect, with no definite end date given. In less formal terms, this means that if you want to buy a signed record from us and you live in St Petersburg, you need to have it sent to a business where you can collect it.

If you aren't able to collect your order, businesses in Russia are free to ship to other businesses, or private individuals, although the latter may involve extra paperwork. For businesses sending to private individuals, no tax or duties will be applied to shipments up to a value of EUR €1,000, or totaling 31kg per calendar month, anything above this will have duties and taxes applied. For all other shipments there is no import duty for packages below EUR €200 in value.
