Eddi Reader has hand signed in blue ink the front cover of the Fairground Attraction LP  “The First Of A Million Kisses””

The First of a Million Kisses was the first album by Fairground Attraction, released in 1988.

The album was a characteristic blend of folk, jazz, country, and Cajun elements (all but one of its songs being written by Nevin).

Released in May 1988, it followed the success of the band’s first single, “Perfect,” by entering the album chart at number three, and rising to number two. It was the only album released by the band before their break-up in 1990.

Three other singles were released from the album: “Find My Love” (which reached number seven on the UK chart), “A Smile in a Whisper”, and “Clare”.

It won the award for best album at the 1989 BRIT Awards, and was certified platinum.

Sadenia “Eddi” Reader MBE (born 29 August 1959) is a Scottish singer-songwriter. Before joining Fairground Attraction and embarking on a solo career she worked as a session vocalist in London. She picked up work singing jingles for radio advertisements and singing with such acts as Eurythmics, The Waterboys, Billy MacKenzie, John Foxx and Alison Moyet.

She is the recipient of three BRIT Awards and has topped both the album and singles charts.

In 2003 she showcased the works of Scotland’s national poet, Robert Burns.

This genuine Eddi Reader Hand Signed The First Of A Million Kisses LP has been autographed to the front cover in blue ink.
