Carnaval de Paris is a song by English dance trio Dario G. The song was recorded for the 1998 FIFA World Cup in France. It peaked at number five in the UK Singles Chart in 1998.

The song, however, has spread around the world, starting when fans of the U.S. men’s national team used the tune in their first match after the September 11 attacks in a World Cup qualifier in Foxborough, Massachusetts against Jamaica. Amongst the supporters clubs which have used the tune have been those in Portsmouth, Leicester City F.C., Chicago Fire, VfL Bochum, Wellington Phoenix, Sydney FC and D.C. United. In fact,Section 8 Chicago, a supporters club for Chicago Fire, supplied lyrics for the previously instrumental tune. Rugby League rivals St Helens RLFC andWigan Warriors both play it after a successful try conversion.

This copy of Carnaval De Paris has been hand signed in blue ink by Paul Spencer.

Dario G is the name of an English dance and trance music musician, originally a trio, who are perhaps best known for their 1997 hit “Sunchyme” which reached number 2 in the UK Singles Chart. The group formed in Cheshire, England and consisted of three DJs and producers Scott Rosser, Paul Spencer and Stephen Spencer (the Spencers are unrelated). In 1998, the group changed their name from Dario to Dario G after being threatened with legal action from an artist of the same name. True to popular belief, the name Dario G was named after the manager of Crewe Alexandra F.C.,Dario Gradi and the similarity to Gradi was not a complete coincidence. Co-founder Paul Spencer also said they added the G in tribute to the jazz saxophonist Kenny G. Scott Rosser and Stephen Spencer later left to pursue other things leaving Paul Spencer to perform in a solo capacity.
