PRESLEY | COLLECTIBLES attended this years Acoustic Festival Of Britain in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, UK (May 25-27 2012). We had some fascinating meet and greets with artists like Fred’s House and Rusty Shackle, who kindly signed some CDs which we have added to the collection. The Acoustic Festival of Britain offers four stages of unplugged & acoustic music covering live folk, rock, blues, guitar, country, bluegrass & a few legends.
Fred’s House played lots of summer festivals in 2011 including the BBC Introducing Stage at Cambridge Rock Festival, The Bakewell Acoustic Music Festival and Strawberry Fair and they have supported some great indie artists including The Wonderstuff, Sea of Bees, Leah Mason, Johnny Foreigner, Lucy Rose and Treetop Flyers. For 2012 they are already confirmed for Cambridge Folk Festival, The Acoustic Festival of Britain, Secret Garden Party and Bestival playing alongside the likes of Joan Armatrading, KT Tunstall, and Stevie Wonder. An awesome live foursome, PRESLEY | COLLECTIBLES can’t speak too highly of this group – more details can be found at http://fredshousemusic.co.uk/
Rusty Shackle only formed just over two years ago, but in that time, the folk inspired band’s members have gone from being relatively unknown to gigging around the UK most weekends. Liam Collins, 26, Baz Barwick, 20, Owen Emmanuel, 28, Scott McKeon, 25 and his brother James, 27, saw off stiff competition from five other bands during last week’s live final of the “Big Gig” competition, at The Globe, Cardiff, to perform at a concert on the day Wales welcomes the Olympic torch. The CD “Wash Away These Nights” has been well received and the boys are even better live! PRESLEY | COLLECTIBLES highly rate this group – futher details can be found at http://www.rustyshackle.com/
