Nicole Scherzinger hand signed colour 8X10 photo. Nicole Prescovia Elikolani Valiente Scherzinger (born Nicole Prescovia Elikolani Valiente; June 29, 1978), is an American singer, songwriter, dancer, choreographer, record producer, model, television personality and actress. Scherzinger is well known as the lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls. Born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, she enrolled in various performing arts schools and was first exposed to singing and dancing competitions as a child. Previously, Scherzinger was a backing vocalist for the late-1990s rock group Days of the New and was a part of reality TV girl group Eden’s Crush. After the disbandment of the group, she joined the Pussycat Dolls and became the group’s lead vocalist during their transition into a career in music.  In 2003, Scherzinger received the position as lead front woman, leading the all-girl group to fame with their debut single, “Don’t Cha” which went straight to number one in over 17 countries, and peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100. With the release of the group’s first album, PCD (2005), Scherzinger scored the girls many more hits, including “Stickwitu”, “Buttons” and “Beep”. The group quickly became opening acts for many other artists on tour, like Christina Aguilera, and The Black Eyed Peas. During a hiatus, spanning from 2006 until late 2008, Scherzinger had been working on her debut album which was titled Her Name Is Nicole, which was supposed to be released in 2007 before being pushed later into 2009. “Baby Love” was the second single released, and had moderate success in the United States. Internationally, the single had commercial success reaching Top 15 in most countries including the United Kingdom, and mainland Europe. In 2009 the album was officially cancelled and shelved. Scherzinger then returned to the group to record their second album, Doll Domination, which gave the girls a few worldwide Top 10 hits, including “I Hate This Part” and “When I Grow Up” and in 2009, Scherzinger wrote and recorded an adaptation of A.R. Rahman’s “Jai Ho” (from the film “Slumdog Millionaire”). The group won three Billboard Music Awards, two MTV Video Music Awards, and toured with Britney Spears on her comeback tour in 2009. The Dolls have sold 15 million albums, and 37 million singles worldwide, making them one of the best selling girl groups of all time.
