Description
This copy of the 1966 edition of FAME was owned and used by Elvis Presley. This thick, soft cover, annual publication detailed the success of movies and actors of the year with one of the highlights being the list of the Top Ten box office earners – this issue covered 1966 and lists Elvis as the #7 earner for that year. Information on Elvis and his films can be found throughout the issue, including a fantastic six page promotional spread from Colonel Parker detailing all of Elvis’ movies and soundtracks with a complete future schedule! This was Elvis’ personal copy and was later given to Patsy Presley.
Condition Report: Very good.
Provenance: Patsy Presley is Elvis’ double first cousin (who Priscilla Presley states “was like a sister to him”) and can be seen in the documentary Elvis by the Presleys. The book is in very good used condition and comes with a copy of the Certificate of Authenticity from Patsy Presley Geranen as the original (on file with the EP Mobile Museum) pertains to more than one item. Also included is a signed COA from the EP Mobile museum.
